Age 10
A heavy rain looms over Falkreath, and Lotdrem and Bishop go out to help those in danger of flooding. This leaves Jules and Britneysil alone in the house, with Britneysil locked in the basement. The flood waters begin to seep into the basement and she realizes that she might drown if she does not escape. As the waters reach her waist, Jules hears her screaming and goes to check on her, allowing her to escape. She tell Jules that they both need to leave, but that she was going for good. Despite his protests, she packs her belongings and takes some books from her mother's library and rides away on her family's fastest horse, Fleet-foot, leaving the Kendov family behind.
Brineysil charts a course through the rain to the Throat of the World to recieve wisdom from Parturnaax, the dragon leader of the Greybeards. Her mother had told her of his role in taking down Alduin, and she thought maybe he could help. Those in Ivarstead where unsure of why a cloaked stranger ascended the 7,000 steps, but did not yield her. The Greybeards initially did not allow her passage. They allowed her to try to clear the way for herself, however, as only one with the power of the dragon tongue, The Thu'um, could. They were unaware of her draconic features, and the fact that this included The Thu'um.
Parthurnaax encourages Britneysil to hold counsel with her parents, but she insists that there is no room for remedy. As the two argue, the tear in the fabric of reality that the ancient dragon has kept watch over reawakens. Britneysil enters it despite the dragon's protest.
