I don't like to watch television or Netflix or any other sites. I pretty much watch Youtube strictly. It's really nice to choose exactly what I want to watch and be able to interact with creators in a more personable way. Most other streaming services are too dramatic for my taste. I don't want to watch Stranger Things or the like. I want to watch how Rhadamant decides the fate of his virtual kingdom shortly after his ruler develops into a lunatic. I also want to see how Fwip goes about building an empire for goblins on based on iron and gold.
Youtube is just generally helpful for learning anyway. If I'm trying to figure out how to set up my controls for a video game, there are always great tips. Youtube is a treasure trove of knowledge and I don't understand how people can't learn most skills from it. I have learned to cook through the pandemic by watching Joshua Weissman and Babish. They make some wild recipes.
Streams are something I also really like. Even though I rarely see them live, I enjoy seeing someone interact with their audience. Pointcrow and Rhadamant specifically are good examples of this. Pointcrow a does crazy Pokemon and Breath of the Wild Streams while I watch Rhadamant for his Rimworld and Crusader Kings 3 content. They're both extremely charming people, as are most of the creators I follow on the site. Other than video game streamers, I watch people who read or react to content on other platforms. One Topic, Click, and Charlotte Dobre are some examples.
